Creative Drawing Book "A Line is a Dot That Went for a Walk" by Jo Fernihough

An artist pondering over a new picture, an autodidact in a creative crisis, a tired clerk/housewife yearning for creativity, or a beginner who does not know where to start - this fascinating notebook is created for everyone. This is "A Line is a Dot That Went for a Walk" by Jo Fernihough.

Just let yourself go, don't think that now you need to create something extraordinary or "at least worthwhile". ;) Take pencils, pens, markers, whatever, and do interesting creative tasks as a whim takes you. In some tasks there are hints like:
  • "Scribbles turn into..."
  • "Finish elements so that..."
  • "Draw faces for these eyebrows"
and in some you are completely left on your own ("Create an ornamental pattern using..."). And you can relax, not giving yourself any estimates and not expecting them from others. :)

A big but light notebook with good white paper will:

  • literally endure everything;
  • give you some new ideas;
  • imperceptibly help you to understand yourself;
  • inspire you to further accomplishments.

Smile

A short story by Tatyana Plotnikova. Translated by me.

He called her “smile”.
First time he met her at the bus-stop. In response to his inviting gesture to get in the bus the girl gave him a smile – light, sparkling and a bit shy.

Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way"

This book came later than I broke free from my creative crisis, but still it was very much in time, I should say. My friend Sveta aka Fao gave me its electronic version and I became absorbed... I want you to know that I'm not the one who easily becomes enthusiastic about anything, so please take a look ^_^

This book is primarily for writers who suffer from a creative block. Maybe you are not a writer, maybe you are not even an Artist, and however,
I believe this book is for you and everyone.

The book is a guided workshop that ask you to take a look at yourself and in the process empowering yourself to create again. I believe that we are all creative beings and we find ourselves stack at times. Using these techniques one can re-energize and give back the freedom for action whether it is writing, painting or acting upon our ideas - living fully.

Time to study! ^____^

Okay... today I was in the bookshop and made my dreams come true... with my December salary it's finally possible! ^_^ So here are my treasures...

1. Speaking Hindi. Teach-yourself book
2. Situational Hindi. Half of the book is table with Hindi phrases compared with English ones. Rest of the book is tests and exercises... all in devanagari... ^_^
3. Hindi Samples in words. 4 parts, they look like copybooks, and there are dots which make contours for outlining the letters and clean lines for independent training))
So today I tried devanagari writing and found out that I moved my pen wrongly)) I mean when I tried to copy letters by myself)) so now I'll write them rightly ^___^
